Young Scientists
Our cluster is called Young Scientists. Our facilitator is Fonda Slongo In this cluster students follow the steps of the scientific method as we problem solve together. Several students are engaged in science fair projects, and others are preparing to compete during the district's Young Scientist Fair. Some of the fun things that we have done are building bridges with K'nex kits, folding paper airplanes, building towers with paper products and tape, and working on science fair projects. At the cluster fair we will allow students to build towers and maker paper airplanes, and promote the Young Scientist Fair coming up March 23rd.
Mars and Beyond
Mars and Beyond is our cluster and Ms. Shelley Olin is our facilitator. We are studying all things SPACE! The students have created models of the solar system and also models of the Mars Rover. Another group has built a rocket. We've launched rockets, researched space, had a scientist come in to talk to us about space, etc. Models of the solar system and Mars Rover.
